Dr. Curtis Shoup


Dr. Curtis Shoup has been with East Main Animal Hospital since 2012 when Dr. Delong retired.  Dr. Shoup graduated from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and practiced Veterinary Medicine 4 years in Chesaning Michigan.  Once he started to settle in Dr. Shoup and his wife Diana wanted to be closer to home while raising a family.  With home for Dr. Shoup being in Athens, and his wife in Vicksburg, Galesburg seamed a perfect spot to call home.  Dr. Shoup has known of his passion for animals and decided to start his path of becoming a Veterinarian since he was 8 years old.  He loves working with pets and their parents on a personal level.  If you should have any questions feel free to ask, we enjoy educating. In Dr. Shoups free time he loves spending time with his wife and 2 boys, 2 Weimaraners, German Short hair pointer  4 kitties, 4 Goats, outside, hunting, fishing, and camping. 

Diana Shoup


Diana Shoup, is East Main Animal Hospitals Practice Manager, a Licensed Vet Technician and has been working with animals in a Veterinary setting since 2002.  Diana was raised on a hobby farm that included everything from Cats, Dogs, Goats, Cows, Chickens, Horses, Emus, and more.  Diana has grown her talents for working with animals through many experiences at previous Veterinary Hospitals with very talented individuals.  Always with a thirst for knowledge for learning and teaching, she loves working with your furry babies but truley enjoys making sure you know what you can do to keep them safe.  Dr Shoup and Diana has been married since 2006 and have 2 wonderful boys, and a full furry family to show for it.  Diana enjoys everything outdoors and spending time with her family in her free time.  



  Sarah graduated from  Ross Medical's Veterinary Assistant program in February 2018, and is a  certified Veterinary Assistant.  She started at East Main Animal  Hospital in January 2018 as an extern and was hired after her externship  ended.  Sarah has always loved animals from a young age and loves  working with them in such a close setting. Outside of work, she enjoys  playing videogames, spending time with her husband Don, and her five fur babies.   



  Kelsey started her  journey in 2016 when she left nursing to pursue a career in veterinary  medicine.  She started as a receptionist at a small clinic in Billings,  MT.  Through on the job training she became a vet tech.  Kelsey spent  her free time traveling around rural MT as a surgical tech at a  spay/neuter Clinic, and working with rescues fostering and placing in  their forever homes.  Kelsey joined East Main Animal Hospital October  2018 after moving back to Michigan to be closer to family.  She enjoys  reading, hiking, camping, along with spending time with her two dogs  Petey a 10 year old Pit mix and Merlin a 4 year old Olde English  Bulldog. 



 Jennifer joined East Main  Animal Hospital April 2019.  She completed school in 2010 and worked as  a Medical Assistant with Borgess for a few years.  The next six years  Jennifer was a stay at home mom to her awesome little boy, (whom you   may see running around here!)  Jennifer loves spending time with her  little family- including 2 furry cats and 2 dogs!  They are home bodies  at heart, but do enjoy summer camping with friends and family.  Animals  have always been close to her heart and she is happy to be here.   



 Katelyn has been with East Main since early summer 2016; and now joins us during her summer breaks.  Katelyn is very active in the animal world and is currently enrolled at  Michigan State Vet School.  Katelyn has a passion for all animals, from kitties, to puppies, cows, to equine, and everything in between.
